Easing into Garment Sewing: Make The Uniform Tunic
A Treelotta favorite! (Seems like Teresa has about a dozen of these!!) This garment is like choose your own adventure sewing pattern. There are four options for you with this pattern, during this class we will focus on Options 2 & 4 (with the option for V-neck or scoop neck). You will have the choice of a sleeveless or long-sleeve version. For those that choose the sleeveless version please note that some time will be spent on setting the sleeve during this time you are welcome to watch and learn or continue to move forward with your personal project. We will also be reviewing how to measure for a pattern, using the pattern sizing to find the best fit and, and pin fitting. This pattern is available in size 0 – 30. All are welcome.
Techniques involved: measuring, pin fitting, pattern cutting, fabric cutting, sewing a straight seam, darts, setting sleeves, bias facings, and hemming.
This class is designed for beginners however, all skill levels will learn something new!
