Make a Dutch Beauty Sampler with EZ Piecing
New to quilting and intimidated with all the points, cutting and such? EZ Piecing is similar to paper piecing, but SEW much easier! The squares are made using a leave-in foundation that makes perfect blocks every time. In the class, we will be making one each of the three different squares on this nine block quilt. These squares are the Courthouse Steps Block, Dutchman’s Puzzle Block, and New York Beauty Block. You will be amazed at how easy and fun this technique is! If you don’t want to make a quilt or wall hanging, these 8½” squares (8” finished) can also be used for pillows, a table runner … the uses are unlimited! We have a sample in the store that Patten made and then quilted on her embroidery machine for fun. It is a modern take on a traditional design.
With EZ Piecing leave-in foundations, assembling the fabric pieces of a quilt becomes uniform with perfect points and stable sizes of every block. With no special skills needed, this class is perfect for beginner quilters looking for a way to make fancy-looking and perfect blocks quickly and easily.
