Four Core Patterns. One Great Wardrobe. Trunk Show & Lecture

Trunk Show & Lecture by Rae Cumbie of Fit for Art Patterns.

Create a modern wardrobe for all seasons and occasions from four core patterns! Rae Cumbie will bring a trunk show of possibilities, illustrating that a little imagination can lead to an entire wardrobe of great-fitting styles. Learn to plan a core wardrobe of comfortable and flattering pants, dresses, jackets, tunics, and knit tops using Fit for Art's easy-to-construct patterns: Eureka! Pants that Fit, Carpe Diem Dress & Tunic, Tabula Rasa Jacket, and Tabula Rasa Knit Tee & Tunic patterns and their variations. Then get started sewing your own.

The fee for this event includes $15 toward one Fit for Art pattern (during the event). Also, if you purchase the Tabula Rasa Jacket pattern, Rae will be available to help you determine your correct sizing.

If you are interested in attending the full-day workshop happening the next day (Saturday, Oct. 21 @ 10-5), this trunk show is included in the registration for that event, so you would NOT need to sign up for this as well. CLICK HERE to see info on the all-day workshop.

Skill Details:
Instructor: Rae Cumbie
Instructor Bio: Perhaps best known for her custom wedding and special occasion gowns, Rae has been creating custom clothing professionally for more than 20 years. During that time, she has received many awards and accolades for her skill and creativity. For more than 10 years, Rae has also been creating wearable art jackets, perfecting the fit on her many clients in the Baltimore area. Rae is also a nationally respected teacher and author. As a result of teaching jacket-making to weavers, she saw the problems fiber artists encounter when translating their creations to a garment. Rae began to envision a pattern that offered the versatility and fit fiber artists wanted. A grant from the Potomac Fiber Arts Guild provided Rae with an opportunity to collaborate with quilters and weavers that ultimately resulted in the Tabula Rasa Jacket.
