Remy Raglan (Sew House Seven)
Springtime is a great time to create new tops for your warm weather wardrobe! The Remy Raglan pattern is a simple, relaxed fitting woven top that is a quick and easy sew. With three different options for raglan sleeves (rolled up hem on a short or ¾ sleeve, or a gathered bracelet length sleeve with cuff) and two different neckline finishes (plain front, or keyhole with button & loop closure), this pattern offers great versatility.
Skills that will be covered in this class include how to sew a basic hem, creating a gathered sleeve with cuffs, making a keyhole button enclosure, sewing a bias neck facing, and making beautiful French seams to enclose raw edges on the inside of your garment.
Fabrics that work well for the Remy Raglan include lightweight wovens that are not too stiff – linen, linen/rayon, linen/viscose, cotton voile, silk noir and cotton gauze. See pattern for more details on which fabrics work best for each pattern sleeve option.
