Improv Around Curves: Class 3 Improv Series
This class will tackle curves, the improvy, make-it-up-as-you-go kind. Stephanie will show you how to use washable Elmers school glue to make sewing curves easier while keeping them flat. We’ll learn how to stabilize the bias inherent to curves by using a stay stitch or by careful slow pressing with steam. We will continue to build on our previous 2 classes, creating additional small studies with curves and angles and straight lines! Still using the same fabrics, we will be able to see how all of our previous work is starting to flow together even though we used different piecing techniques to get there.
Stephanie Ruyle is a multi-award winning quilter and member of Bee Sewcial, an international quilting bee. Check out her Instagram @spontaneousthreads to see her work and the Bee Sewcial website to see the quilts she has collaborated in. We are honored to have her teaching with us!
