Windham Artisan Solids are 100% cotton woven fabrics with a subtle cross-woven texture that adds depth and interest to solid colors. They’re quilter-weight and work beautifully as backgrounds, blenders, and low-volume alternatives in quilts.

Because of the yarn-dyed weave, these have a slightly softer, more relaxed hand than a traditional printed solid. If you prefer extra crispness for piecing, a light application of starch before cutting can make a big difference and help with accuracy.
